WHAT THE WINEMAKERS ARE SAYING
After a classic start to the year followed by a mixed summer, a cold wind settled in early September accompanied by a generous sun, which allowed the grapes to ripen quickly. The harvest took place at the end of September in order to harvest grapes at full maturity. Aging in oak barrels for 16 months.
Deep ruby red. Very fresh aromas of blackcurrant on chocolate notes and aromas of spices and vanilla. Well balanced and generous. Beautiful fruit. Beautiful material. Well-integrated oak and elegant tannins. Good persistence.
Grape variety: Pinot Noir
Soil: Pebbles and sand mixed with clay
Location: This 2 hectare vine, Les Bressandes, is located on the upper part of the hillside and faces East. This climate takes its name from a Canon of Beaune owner of this vineyard in the 13th century, Jean Bressand.
Food and wine pairing: White meats, roasted meats, lamb and cheeses, especially regional cheeses (Epoisses, Citeaux) as well as certain goat cheeses.
