"Aromas of crisp pear fruit and honeysuckle introduce the 2017 Mâcon-Azé, a medium-bodied, elegant wine that's pure and succulent. It derives from a 3.5-hectare parcel that boasts the highest altitude in the appellation." William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
How to Enjoy: "Our Mâcon Azé 2017 can greatly be enjoyed with a seafood platter, shellfish and some cuttlefishes." Winemaker's notes
About the winery: In 2008 the Beaumont family takes over the Domaine de la Garenne located on the hills of Azé village.
The vineyard is planted on a beautiful sundrenched hill which enjoys a south-east exposure and is situated two leagues away from Cluny, heart of Christianity in the Middle Age.
The worldwide famous Chardonnay grape, named after a near-by village and whose culture started in the XIth century through the work Benedictine monks, produces a finely fruity and crispy white wine.
The union with the Devillard family from Mercurey, through the marriage of Pauline Beaumont and Amaury Devillard, has joined one of the best sites of the Maconnais region with one the most talented burgundy producer.
