It was founded in 2022 by a group of young tasters and winemakers who want to show what independent Chinese winegrowers can achieve on the world stage. The name “Buyaojing” is a playful phrase meaning both “no worries” and “don't stay at the bottom of the well”, encouraging people to move forward and see the wider world.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe estate's 10 hectares of vines grow on poor, stony gravel soils at the foot of the Helan Mountains, which shield the vineyards from cold north-westerly winds. With around 3,000 hours of sunshine a year and wide day-night temperature swings, the grapes ripen fully while keeping freshness.
