About the winery: The Domaine des Terres Blanches, of the AOC Baux de Provence, is located on the bottom of the Alpilles in the commune of of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Noël Michelin created the vineyard after buying a part of "Mas des Pilons" in 1968. He built in 1973 a modern winery in order to produce wines from recently planted vines.
The environment is very favorable to the practice of the biological agriculture and this one is practiced from the year 1970. In effect, the breath of the mistral and the environment, purify the grapevines. Noël Michelin decided that the Domaine des Terres Blanches should cultivate from the beginning without artificial fertilizers, without insecticides of synthesis, without herbicides. The treatment of the vineyard is assured by natural elements, sulphur, marine algae and plant’s essences.
Today, the vineyard proposes pure and elegant wines with a unique style, from a "Bio - active" agriculture that allows to blend the equilibrium among the nature and the production’s needs.
