WHAT THE CRITICS ARE SAYING
“Rather exotic scents of mandarin orange and hazelnut are lifted by a note of lime zest. Sappy, tactile and energetic, showing attractive orange-y acidity and lively minerality. This very tasty wine finishes with persistent orange and lemon flavors.” Antonio Galloni, Vinous.
In 2003, Alix and Etienne de Montille created a boutique winemaking project to produce predominantly white wines from reliable, top-notch growers in the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise to balance the prestigious, mostly red, vineyard holdings of Domaine de Montille.
Now known as Maison de Montille, their wines represent a stylistic approach to winemaking that is directly in line with the heritage and pedigree of their legendary family’s estate, namely purity of fruit, moderate alcohol levels and mineral-driven, textured wines.
