Its story begins in 1816, when engineer Raymond Étienne Amiel won the first 10 hectares of vines from the Bishop of Perpignan over a game of cards. Since Olivier Decelle took over in 1999, the estate has become a benchmark for both the sweet and dry wines of Maury, with vineyards farmed organically and biodynamically.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVers le Nord comes from a 2-hectare plot in the La Devèze sector, planted mainly with Grenache Noir and a little co-planted Syrah.
