Chateau Haut-Marbuzet

Classified as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, Château Haut-Marbuzet is one of the most distinctive estates in Saint-Estèphe, with 76 hectares of vineyards located near the prestigious Château Cos d’Estournel.

Under the stewardship of Henri Duboscq, Haut-Marbuzet has earned a reputation for its voluptuous, exotic style, crafted through a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (40%), and Cabernet Franc (10%). Aged exclusively in 100% new oak barrels, the wines are rich and powerful, yet marked by supple tannins, vibrant fruit, and spicy complexity.

This unique approach results in Saint-Estèphe wines that are both flamboyant and seductive, with an immediate appeal but also excellent ageing potential. Haut-Marbuzet also produces a second wine, Château Mac Carthy, and vinifies the fruit from Château Chambert-Marbuzet, both offering approachable introductions to the estate’s signature style.
