Château l'Escadre

The Château L’Escadre, acquired in 1832 by the Carreau family, was purchased from an Admiral of the French navy. In honor of the former owner, the Carreau family named the château « L’Escadre », which is a navy term designating a float of boats. Today, Jean-Marie Carreau lives in this elegant 19th century family house, which stands among the 32 hectares of the vineyard, on a clay & limestone soil.

Château Miquelon

The vineyard of Château Miquelon is situated in Saint-Martin-Lacaussade, 45km north of Bordeaux, on the right bank of the Gironde Estuary, on a gently sloping site above the river. The soil is chalk, which is excellent for viticulture.

Château Clairac

Current house of Nicolas, the Carreau family bought the château in 1972. Surrounding the 19th century home, the 11 ha vineyard is planted with Merlot and Cabernet. The palm trees in the garden are evidence of the microclimate which makes the quality of the wines.
