Pommard

Pommard is one of the most powerful and structured red wine appellations on Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, known for producing Pinot Noir with unusual density and grip for the region — a reputation that made it one of the first Burgundies to gain international recognition in the 19th century. The village has no Grand Cru, but its Premier Crus, including Les Épenots and Les Rugiens, are considered every bit their equal by serious Burgundy collectors.

Pommard's wines are built for the cellar: firm tannins, dark fruit, and real backbone in youth, unfolding over a decade or more into something velvety and complex. A true Côte de Beaune heavyweight.
