Château Branaire-Ducru

Classified as a Fourth Growth (Quatrième Cru Classé) in 1855, Château Branaire-Ducru is renowned for producing pure, elegant, and classically styled Saint-Julien wines. The estate was acquired by the Maroteaux family in 1988, who have since invested significantly in both vineyard and winery, elevating Branaire-Ducru to one of the appellation’s most consistent performers.

After the passing of the highly respected Patrick Maroteaux in 2017, leadership passed to his son François-Xavier Maroteaux, who continues the family’s commitment to quality. The estate also benefits from the expertise of Eric Boissenot, the Left Bank’s superstar consultant who advises many of Bordeaux’s top châteaux, including the Médoc’s First Growths.

Château Branaire-Ducru produces wines that embody Saint-Julien’s hallmark balance: Cabernet Sauvignon-driven structure with finesse, freshness, and ageing potential.
