Armagnac Delord is one of the most respected houses in Bas-Armagnac — the finest sub-region of Armagnac, known for its deep, sandy soils that produce spirits of extraordinary aromatic complexity. Founded in 1893, Delord is a family-run estate with one of the deepest cellars of aged Armagnac in the region, including exceptional vintages dating back to the 1920s.
Unlike Cognac, Armagnac is distilled only once — in a continuous alembic still — which preserves far more congeners and aromatic compounds than the double distillation used in Cognac. The result is a spirit of remarkable complexity: dried fruits, tobacco, leather, spice, and an earthy, almost rustic depth that rewards slow sipping.
