Marsannay

Marsannay is the southern gateway to the Côte de Nuits and the only village in the Côte d'Or entitled to produce red, white, and rosé wine under a single appellation. Long overlooked, it has emerged over the past two decades as a genuine source of value, with growers increasingly petitioning for Premier Cru recognition on several of its best sites.

The red wines are lighter and more approachable than those of Gevrey-Chambertin or Fixin to the north, with bright red fruit and a distinctive freshness, while Marsannay's rosé has a long-standing reputation as one of Burgundy's most serious pink wines. An excellent, more affordable way into authentic Côte de Nuits terroir.
