Mas de Daumas Gassac

Founded in the 1970s by Aimé and Véronique Guibert, Mas de Daumas Gassac transformed the reputation of the Languedoc, proving that world-class wines could emerge from a region once dominated by bulk production. Often hailed as the “Grand Cru of the Midi”, the estate is a benchmark for quality in southern France.

The estate's 40-hectare vineyard sits on a historic limestone terroir, rediscovered by geographer Henry Enjalbert, who recognized its exceptional potential. Surrounded by forest and cooled by a unique microclimate between the sea and mountains, the vineyard is divided into 50 small plots, planted to more than 40 grape varieties — with Cabernet Sauvignon as the backbone of its iconic red blends.

Today, the estate is led by Samuel Guibert and his four brothers, who continue their parents' vision with organic viticulture and a deep respect for biodiversity. The wines of Mas de Daumas Gassac are renowned for their complexity, freshness, and ageing potential, standing among the most unique and sought-after wines of southern France.
