Château La Genestiere
Located near Avignon, Château La Genestière carries centuries of history. In the 16th century, the estate was a thriving silkworm farm, its mill pond still standing as a reminder of its past when sericulture employed thousands across the region. By 1930, as silk declined, the estate turned fully to winemaking, quickly building a strong reputation in France and abroad.
In 1994, Jean-Claude and Raphaël Garcin expanded the domaine by adding Saint-Anthelme, Les Ramières, and Longval, extending its reach into prestigious appellations including Tavel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, and Côtes du Rhône. Since 2015, under the ownership of Christian Latouche, Château La Genestière has continued to honor this legacy while investing in quality and tradition.
Today, the estate produces wines that reflect the richness of the southern Rhône: elegant Tavel rosés, powerful Châteauneuf-du-Pape reds, refined Lirac cuvées, and expressive Côtes du Rhône bottlings. Each wine embodies the estate’s heritage and its passion for terroir-driven expression.
