Chorey-les-Beaune

Chorey-les-Beaune is a small, largely overlooked village on the Côte de Beaune, set slightly off the main slope on flatter ground between Savigny-lès-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton. Without any Premier Cru or Grand Cru vineyards of its own, it produces exclusively village-level wine — but that has made it one of Burgundy's most reliable sources of genuine value.

The red wines are soft, fruit-forward, and approachable young, with none of the tannic grip of wines from higher up the slope, making Chorey-lès-Beaune an easy, everyday introduction to authentic Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir without the price tag of its more famous neighbours.
