Griotte-Chambertin

Griotte-Chambertin is one of Burgundy's smallest and rarest Grand Crus, a 5.5-hectare parcel nestled directly above Chapelle-Chambertin and Latricières-Chambertin in Gevrey-Chambertin. Its name comes from griotte, a sour cherry, and the wine's aromatic profile lives up to it — bright red cherry fruit layered over the structure and minerality typical of the Chambertin family of Grand Crus, but with a touch more freshness and lift.

Because production is so limited, Griotte-Chambertin rarely reaches international markets in meaningful quantity, making it a genuine rarity for collectors seeking the power of Gevrey-Chambertin's Grand Crus in a slightly more perfumed, elegant style.
