Château Talbot

Classified as a Fourth Growth (4ème Grand Cru Classé) in 1855, Château Talbot is one of the most admired estates of the Saint-Julien appellation, on Bordeaux’s Left Bank. With a history stretching back over five centuries, Talbot has become a benchmark for elegant, structured Médoc wines that combine approachability with excellent ageing potential.

The estate covers 110 hectares of gravelly soils, among the largest in the Médoc, planted predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. This classic mix produces reds that are aromatic, silky, and powerful, showcasing Saint-Julien’s hallmark balance of finesse and depth.

Today, under the stewardship of the Cordier family, Château Talbot continues to refine its reputation, producing not only its celebrated Grand Vin, but also the second wine Connétable de Talbot, and a sought-after white, Caillou Blanc, crafted from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.
