Francois d'Allaines

Since 1996, François d’Allaines has dedicated his work to producing and selecting wines that embody the authentic spirit of Burgundy. Based in Demigny, near Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, the domaine specializes in white wines from the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise, while also vinifying a carefully chosen range of reds from prestigious appellations.

The philosophy is simple yet demanding: respect the terroir and let each vineyard speak for itself. Whites are admired for their purity, minerality, and balance, while reds combine fresh fruit, supple tannins, and elegance. Low yields, meticulous vineyard work, and traditional ageing in oak barrels (with carefully measured new oak) ensure wines of precision and finesse.

François d’Allaines also works closely with long-standing grower-partners, selecting grapes from some of Burgundy’s most renowned crus, including Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, and Corton-Charlemagne. This allows the domaine to offer a diverse portfolio that showcases both value-driven discoveries and age-worthy grands vins.
