Château Lagrange

Classified as a Third Growth (Troisième Grand Cru Classé) in 1855, Château Lagrange is one of the iconic estates of the Saint-Julien appellation, renowned for its consistency, precision, and balance. With a history dating back to the Middle Ages, Lagrange has long been celebrated as a benchmark of Left Bank winemaking.

The estate spans 118 hectares, making it one of the largest vineyards in the Médoc, planted predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and Petit Verdot. Its gravelly soils and ideal microclimate yield wines that are powerful yet refined, with remarkable ageing potential.

A modern renaissance began in the 1980s under Japanese ownership (Suntory Group), with major investments in the vineyard and cellars. Today, Château Lagrange produces wines of remarkable elegance, depth, and structure, consistently praised by critics and collectors. Alongside the Grand Vin, the château also crafts a respected second wine, Les Fiefs de Lagrange.
