Tasting Notes & Ratings
Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: 100% Pinot Noir.
Tasting notes: A good representative of Pinot noir reds the Chassagne Montrachet 'Concis' appellation made from 40-year-old vineyards. As a curiosity, it undergoes a double aging (on the one hand in barrels that have 8 uses and on the other in vats). Its present tannins do not mask its highly mature fruit profile, which is the main hallmark of this wine.
About the winery: Francois d'Allaines started his eponymous wine business in 1996 in the village of Demigny in Burgundy. Both winegrower and merchant, he believes in ripe grapes and long aging to reveal all the finesse and magic of the Burgundy terroirs.
