What are En-Primeur Wines?

En-Primeur: Secure the wines before they’re bottled.

En-Primeur (also known as “futures”) allows you to purchase wines before they are officially released. You reserve your allocation early, then receive the bottles once the wines are bottled and shipped.

In short: early access, limited quantities, priority on top domaines.

What does “En-Primeur” mean?

En-Primeur means buying wine while it is still maturing, usually after harvest and during the early stages of élevage. At this stage, the wine is not yet available on the regular market, and allocations are often very limited.

How does En-Primeur work?

  • The vintage is tasted (barrel samples / early tastings).
  • Allocations are released by domaines and négociants.
  • You pre-order the wines you want.
  • The wines are bottled and prepared for shipment.
  • You receive your bottles when they are delivered to Singapore.

Why Burgundy En-Primeur is special?

Why En-Primeur matters even more in Burgundy?

Burgundy is one of the most allocation-driven regions in the world. Many domaines produce very small quantities, and demand is consistently high.

En-Primeur is often the best (and sometimes the only) way to access:

  • Iconic domaines and rare cuvées.
  • Village / Premier Cru / Grand Cru in limited production.
  • Wines that may never appear again once sold out.

Is En-Primeur for you?

En-Primeur is ideal if you:

  • Collect Burgundy and want priority access.
  • Want the best chance to secure hard-to-find wines.
  • Enjoy planning ahead for your cellar.
  • Want to discover a vintage early with a curated selection.
