Wine Region: Champagne - France
Terroirs: Côte des Blancs - Bergères lès Vertus
Grape: 100% Chardonnay- Premier Cru
Story: The non-vintage Blanc de Blancs Brut sums up the style of the House. Turned towards resolutely fresh, pure and elegant wines, this cuvée must, thanks to the addition of reserve wines (2 to 3 years), offer the same pleasure from year to year.
This cuvée benefits from an ideal aging in the cellar: from 3 to 4 years. The balance and freshness that result naturally, allow a low dosage (8g / l). After disgorging, our wines are put to rest for a few weeks before marketing.
Tasting note: This wine, with its golden yellow colour, slight green reflections and a lively and sustained foam, surprises with the delicacy of its mineral and floral scents. On the palate, the attack is fresh and persistent, there are citrus notes and a biscuity finish and bread crust.
About the Winery:
6th Generation estate for this boutique grower champagne! Only 6 hectares, only 25,000 bottles produced per year, all in a monocru, 1er Cru, situated in Bergères-Les-Vertus. Mainly Chardonnay based, 95%, the estate is 100% on cray soil and works with a focus organic mindset. Perrot Batteux is certified VDC and HVE.
The Blanc de Blancs NV is a subtil touch of lime, with very tiny bubbles, and refreshing palate. You will feel apple, pear, and note of white flower like acacia or hawthorn.
The estate is now managed by the two sisters, Cynthia in the vineyard and Celine in the office, that's why the Champagne is called "Perrot Batteux & Filles" (& Daughter in French)!
