Château Cantemerle
Located in the southern Haut-Médoc, near the border with Margaux, Château Cantemerle is renowned for producing wines with a distinctive elegant and charming Médoc style. With a history dating back to the 13th century, the estate was officially ranked as a Grand Cru Classé in 1855, affirming its reputation among Bordeaux’s finest.
The estate spans 93 hectares, with 90 hectares planted to vines, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Château Cantemerle wines are approachable in their youth yet possess the structure and finesse to age gracefully for decades.
The château also produces a second wine, Les Allées de Cantemerle, made from younger vines and offering a softer, more accessible style—making it an excellent introduction to the estate’s character.
