Cave de Tain

Founded in 1933 by Louis Gambert de Loche, Cave de Tain is the leading cooperative of the Northern Rhône, uniting nearly 300 growers across the region. While the Rhône Valley is best known for small family domaines, Cave de Tain stands out as the region’s flagship collective, producing almost half of all Crozes-Hermitage and owning 22 hectares in Hermitage itself.

Today, Cave de Tain’s growers represent every major appellation of the Northern Rhône, from Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage to Saint-Joseph, Cornas, and Saint-Péray. In its state-of-the-art winery in Tain l’Hermitage, the estate crafts wines that balance tradition with precision.
