The Domain
Created in 1988 by Henry Frédéric Roch, the Domaine Prieuré Roch today comprises around twenty hectares spread over the multi-secular terroirs of Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Ladoix and Savigny-les-Beaune. Led by Yannick Champ and his team according to the spirit instilled by Henry Frédéric Roch.

Vineyard and Terroir
A rarity in Burgundy, the estate owns three of the most prestigious Clos monopoles, namely Clos des Corvées (5 hectares in Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru) Clos des Varoilles (6 hectares in Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru) and, exceptionally exceptions, Clos Goillotte (0.55 hectares in Vosne-Romanée) which was the private vineyard of the Prince of Conti.

Viticulture and Winemaking Practices
Since 1988, the estate does not use any synthetic product in the vineyard (biodynamics) or in winemaking. Our pure and sensual wines, the fruit of extreme work and attention to the vines as well as vinification in whole bunches without the addition of sulphite, have acquired worldwide renown. Each bottle is a rare taste event.

Antonio Quari and Yannick Champ
Antonio Quariis the winemaker at Domaine Prieure Roch. He was for a long time the apprentice at the domaine under the tutelage of Henry-Frederic Roch and Yannick Champ. In addition to working with Prieure Roch he is also making his own wine:Ladoix les Briquottes.
This is Pinot Noir from the Ladoix Les Briquottes vineyard, planted in 1976 and organically grown. He is using a similar winemaking philosophy to Prieure Roch: 100% whole bunch, without any use of sulfur, except for a small amount, less than 1 g, at bottling. The pigeage is carried out on foot and the reassembly only by gravity, with elevation during ten months in old barrels. On the label you can see his motto:Non Progredi est Regredion the label:"Not moving forward is going backwards".
