Tasting Notes

Expert Ratings

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 92/100 : : “Agrapart's NV Brut 7 Crus now routinely includes some 10% Pinot Noir, and the latest rendition is based on the 2016 vintage, supplemented by fully 40% from 2015. This bottle was disgorged in May 2019 with seven grams per liter dosage. Offering up aromas of rips citrus fruit, yellow apples and white flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and vinous, with a comparatively open-knot, fleshy profile, concluding with a chalky and precise finish.” William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

Vinous 91/100: "The NV 7 Crus is bright, precise and sculpted, as all of Agrapart Champagnes are. A dollop of Pinot Noir adds richness, but the 7 Crus is now very much in line stylistically with the other wines in the range, which was not the case when this cuvée was first introduced. Citrus, floral and almond notes all resonate in a Champagne that combines Côte des Blanc Chardonnay energy with an extra kick of texture from the Pinot that really comes through on the finish. This release is a blend of equal parts 2016 and 2015 from the villages of Avize, Oger, Oiry, Cramant, Avenay Val d’Or, Bergères les Vertus and Mardeuil."

More About The Winery

Founded in 1894, Champagne Agrapart is today recognized as one of the finest grower-producers in the Côte des Blancs. Since 1984, Pascal Agrapart has crafted wines from the estate’s 12 hectares of old vines across the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Cramant, Oiry, and Oger.

The domaine follows a natural, low-intervention philosophy: no chemical pesticides or herbicides, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and partial ageing in large 600-liter oak casks. This approach ensures that every cuvée reflects the chalky terroir and vibrant life of the soils, resulting in Champagnes of precision, minerality, and depth.
