Tasting notes: This sophisticated sauvignon blanc offers subtle layers of quintessential grapefruit, lemon, and passionfruit notes along with a bit of peach on the midpalate, all underscored by delightful hints of white flowers and crushed green herbs. Zesty acidity and the firm mineral finish that is the hallmark of Sancerre make it an elegant partner at the dinner table. 

About a winery: Domaine Regis Jouan is located in Sury En Vaux, one of 13 municipalities covering the  Sancerre appellation. It is near the left bank of the Loire, a rich terroir with such a unique charm. 

The average age of the southwest-facing vines is 25 years old. The clay and limestone soil date back to the Upper Jurassic era. This exposure shows the mysteries of Sancerre Jouan: a distinctly fruity aroma and a strong structure at the same time. The strict and careful vinification and aging in steel casks contribute to its character.
