Bold, uncompromising, and utterly singular. Burgundy like you’ve never tasted it before.
We’re thrilled to introduce a domaine that’s already a cult name among Burgundy insiders – Recrue des Sens, the personal project of Yann Durieux, now available at The Vintage Wine Club in extremely limited quantities.
A native of Burgundy, Yann spent over 10 years managing the vineyards of Domaine Prieuré-Roch, mentored by none other than the late Henri-Frédéric Roch (of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti). In 2008, he launched his own domaine in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, cultivating old vines farmed biodynamically, vinifying with whole clusters and minimal intervention.
His wines – bottled under the humble Vin de France label – are anything but ordinary.
Expect vibrant energy, wild purity, and intense character across the range. Whether it’s his much-loved “Les Ponts”, the joyful “La Gouzotte”, or the rare “Jeannot”, these wines are alive and unapologetically raw – a love letter to both nature and intuition.
Highlights of the Domaine:
-
Biodynamic farming and full-cluster fermentation
-
Small production, artisan winemaking
-
Cult status among Burgundy natural wine lovers
-
A style that’s instinctive, emotional, and terroir-driven
This is not Burgundy for the faint of heart – it’s Burgundy for those who feel as much as they taste.
Quantities are extremely limited.
