Tasting notes
The 2018 Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru has an expressive and well-defined bouquet with lifted floral scents, touches of chalk infusing the mixture of red/black fruit, slightly irony with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a structured entry. Quite strict and linear, this is your archetypal Pommard with an almost briny finish. Excellent.

Vinous 91/100
The 2018 Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru has a perfumed bouquet with red cherries and blueberry fruit, well-defined, hints of wilted violet percolating through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite chiselled and tensile, perhaps missing just a little complexity on the finish. There is an elegant quality here, that should see it age with panache. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.
