Tasting Notes & Ratings
Grape
100% Chardonnay
Tasting notes
The wine is made from grapes that are about 30 years old and planted on a slope at an altitude of 320m. The aroma is a complex blend of white flowers, citrus fruits, minerals and creamy nuances. In the mouth, apples, honey and fresh hazelnuts spread pleasantly. A wine with excellent balance, with an elegant aftertaste that reminds you of pleasant spices. A wine with solid aging potential.
More About The Winery
Located in Névy-sur-Seille, at the heart of the Jura wine region, Domaine Courbet has built a reputation for producing wines that combine tradition, terroir, and modern precision. Now managed by the 5th generation, Jérôme Courbet, the estate cultivates around 7 hectares of vineyards, primarily on marl and limestone soils that give Jura wines their unique character.
The domaine specializes in classic Jura varieties — Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, and Trousseau — crafted into both traditional oxidative styles and modern ouillé (topped-up) expressions. From the iconic Vin Jaune to elegant Chardonnays and delicate reds, Courbet’s wines are admired for their clarity, balance, and finesse, offering a true reflection of Jura’s mosaic of terroirs.
Committed to organic viticulture and sustainable practices, Jérôme Courbet ensures that every wine embodies both the history of the Jura and a forward-looking respect for nature.
