Tasting notes
Ruby red color. With a perfumed nose of rose, pumpkin and granite. Good, consistent texture with soft tannins. Very well balanced with softness and freshness of flavors, with hints of black berries, blueberries and persistent finish.
" An ultra-fresh and distinctly cool nose displays crystalline pure of red berry fruit along hints spice, floral and wood. The super-sleek and almost painfully intense flavors flash a taut muscularity on the dusty, highly compact and very austere finish that goes on and on. This overtly powerful wine is backward to the point of being grumpy and I would strongly advise not touching a bottle for at least a decade. " – Allen Meadows, Burghound.com
" A crimson colour. The Bonnes Mares went through its malolactic fermentation early (in January) which makes the bouquet softer and more open. But this wine is generous, gregarious, and very classic in its wilder shores of Chambolle fashion. Wonderfully sensual, then a touch more structure to bring up the finish correctly. Drink from 2028-2036. Tasted: December 2022. " – Jasper Morris, Insideburgundy.com
