Burgundy Week

Burgundy Week celebrates the renowned wine regions of Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, and Mâconnais, collectively forming the heart of Burgundy, France. Each sub-region boasts its unique terroir, contributing to the diversity and excellence of Burgundian wines.

Côte de Nuits, situated to the south of Dijon, is acclaimed for its red wines, particularly Pinot Noir. Iconic vineyards like Romanée-Conti and Gevrey-Chambertin produce wines with exceptional finesse and complexity, reflecting the region's limestone-rich soil.

Côte de Beaune, south of Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its Chardonnay-dominant white wines. Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault are celebrated for their elegant and expressive Chardonnays, displaying a perfect balance of acidity and richness.

Moving southward, Côte Chalonnaise offers a more diverse range of wines, including both reds and whites. Mercurey and Givry produce high-quality Pinot Noir, while Rully and Montagny showcase distinctive Chardonnays.

Mâconnais, the southernmost region, is known for its affordable yet delicious Chardonnays. Pouilly-Fuissé and Saint-Véran are esteemed appellations, producing vibrant and fruity white wines.

Burgundy Week provides enthusiasts and connoisseurs with the opportunity to explore and savor the nuances of these distinct appellations, appreciating the craftsmanship that has made Burgundy a benchmark for fine wines worldwide.
