Tasting Notes
With a golden hue, this wine displays a very fine persistent bead. Biscuit and honey appear on the first nose, followed by aromas of linden and oriental spices, while the fruitiness remains very subtle. Then, the nose expresses an enticing palette of undergrowth, pear, licorice and seaweed.
The attack on the palate is highly balanced, nicely blending smoothness and liveliness. Then, the wine seems to unfold: mouth-watering acidity and creamy effervescence harmoniously give birth to a silky texture. This full-bodied wine displays enough character to enhance the perfect balance of this opulent material, lingering on biscuit & sweet wood notes.
More About The Winery
Located in Moussy near Épernay, between the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, Champagne Tellier is a rising grower estate at the heart of the region. With 7 hectares in Moussy and Pierry (the historic Domaine des Conardins) and another 2 hectares across Chavot, Fontaine/Aÿ, and Cramant, the domaine farms 13 plots, each vinified separately to showcase its unique terroir.
The vineyards are planted primarily to Pinot Meunier (59%), balanced with Chardonnay (35%) and a touch of Pinot Noir (6%). Deeper soils over chalk in Moussy and Pierry give wines structure and length, while the chalky terroirs of Chavot, Aÿ, and Cramant bring elegance, minerality, and finesse.
A new chapter began in 2014, when the estate was acquired by the Moulin and Cathiard families, bringing fresh vision and energy. Today, Champagne Tellier is celebrated for Champagnes that combine power, elegance, and precise terroir expression, crafted with respect for nature and tradition.
