Tasting notes: A wonderfully expressive aroma of ripe wild strawberries, violets and cherries, gives way to a silky palate of concentrated yet subtle and refined fruit. Fine French oak creates a background of savoury, smoky flavours upon which there is ample, juicy, ripe fruit with tangy mineral elements. Well balanced, complex and smooth on the finish.

About the winery:
The Pillot origins date back to the 17th century in Chassagne, our ancestors worked the vines, the wine and especially made barrels. And it was in the 19th century that the Pillot family abandoned the cooperage and expanded the property on the hillsides of Chassagne-Montrachet. Fernand and his son Laurent, the 4th generation, extended the estate again in 1992, then in 2001 with the takeover of the Pothier-Rieusset vines in Pommard. Today, we operate 14.8 ha of vines for a total of 22 appellations. The vineyard plots are concentrated on Chassagne-Montrachet and Pommard mainly but also on the terroirs of Santeany, Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay and Beaune. All our wines are vinified and matured in our cellar in Chassagne-Montrachet, combining modern facilities with respect for traditions and our age-old terroirs. Our vines are worked organically with great care and the soils are cultivated without the use of chemical herbicides. We have been members of the Dephy-ECO-phyto group since 2012.
