​​The story of Armagnac Delord began in 1893, when Prosper Delord, a traveling distiller and cellar master, carried his alambic from farm to farm, transforming white wine into the noble spirit of Armagnac.

In 1932, Prosper’s sons, Gaston and Georges, founded the official Maison Armagnac Delord Frères in their hometown of Lannepax. As producers, distillers, and merchants, they began exporting their Bas-Armagnacs across the Atlantic, with the United States becoming one of their early markets.

By 1963, the next generation took over, with Jacques, Gaston’s eldest son, continuing the adventure. Ten years later, in 1973, his brother Pierre joined him, and together they carried forward the family tradition with passion and dedication.

In 2001, Jacques’s sons, Sylvain and Jérôme, became the fourth generation to run the maison. Each brought his own expertise: Sylvain overseeing production, blending, and cellar work, and Jérôme focusing on promotion and development. This fraternal balance continues to shape Delord’s identity.

In 2020, the brothers returned to their roots by acquiring the Galaubas estate—75 hectares of certified organic farmland, including 5 hectares of vines, a manor house, a maturation cellar, and several outbuildings. This acquisition reinforced the family’s deep connection to its land and its future.

By 2022, Jérôme and Sylvain had fully integrated Galaubas into the Delord story, combining heritage, organic farming, and innovation to carry the maison proudly into a new century.
