About the Winery:
François Mitjaville of Chateau Le Tertre Roteboeuf produces Domaine de Cambes Bordeaux. Mitjaville had a humble beginning. He was the boyfriend of the heiress of Château Le Tertre Roteboeuf, who rented it to her cousins. But after marrying Mitjaville, they decided to start their own estate by taking over the Chateau.
François left his successful transportation business to learn the basics of winemaking at Chateau Figeac. Perfecting his craft over the years, he turned Chateau Le Tertre Rôteboeuf into a real success story in the mid-1980s. Today, he is one of the most respected oenologists and is also the owner of Château Roc de Cambes in Côtes de Bourg where this Domaine de Cambes Bordeaux is made.
The plots of land from which the grapes for Domaine de Cambes Bordeaux come from border the Gironde estuary which flows along the hillsides. Its influence regulates the climate of the vines, planted on soils composed of clay and limestone, giving birth to powerful wines that retain their freshness. And in the case of this wine signed François Mitjaville, they are a true wonder.
