Grape: 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot

Tasting notes:Dark red colour boasts a lot of density. On the nose, fine, delicate woody notes lead to hints of red fruit and spices. On the palate, the attack is smooth and rounded. There's plenty of balance and elegance on the mid-palate. A distinct fruitiness and supple tannins give this wine depth and density.

About the Winery:  Château Tronquoy-Lalande, located in the heart of its appellation, is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Estèphe. It takes its name from François Tronquoy, the estate's first owner, and from the locality "La Lande," where the château's historic plot is planted.

The vineyard was established in the 18th century, surrounding the remarkable château built for the Tronquoy family. The plans were drawn by Victor Louis, the architect of Bordeaux’s Grand Théâtre.

Over the years, various owners succeeded one another until 1968, when Jean Texier and his wife Arlette Castéja-Texier acquired the property. Arlette would go on to manage the estate for 40 years.

In 2006, Martin and Olivier Bouygues discovered this characterful vineyard. Advised by experts, they acquired the estate, marking the beginning of a new era in its history.

They launched an ambitious modernization program, which was completed in 2010 with the construction of a large barrel cellar and a new vat room equipped with a vertical press and 22 temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
