Tasting notes
This wine carries the ample weight and texture one would expect, yet it is more restrained, taut, and tightly wound than the other Meursaults in the range. Subtle notes of beurre noisette, toasted brown rice, and Sicilian lemon rind gradually unfold, revealing themselves slowly across the finish. It will clearly benefit from a few years of bottle age to relax and fully express its depth.
Sourced from four distinct parcels high in the Charmes-Dessus vineyard — just below Clos des Perrières and bordering the vines of Dominique Lafon — this cuvée marks a definitive step up from the straight Charmes and is considered one of the estate’s flagship bottlings. Ageing takes place in French oak, 30% of which is new.
