Tasting notes
The 2015 Domaine Rolet Arbois "Tradition" Blanc is a distinctive Jura white wine, crafted from a blend of Chardonnay and Savagnin—two grapes that together deliver a remarkable balance of freshness and complexity.
Aged in oak and matured in bottle prior to release, this wine reveals a complex nose of toasted nuts, dried orchard fruits, earthy undertones, and a subtle oxidative nuance that nods to the region’s traditional style.
On the palate, it is rich yet vibrant, with layers of apple, citrus peel, hazelnut, and light spice, supported by a lively acidity that keeps the wine lifted and structured. The finish is long, textured, and quietly mineral, showcasing both the authenticity and aging potential of Jura whites.
A compelling bottle for lovers of character-driven wines, offering a true taste of the Jura terroir.
More About The Domaine
Domaine Rolet is one of the most iconic estates in the Jura region, renowned for showcasing the area’s full diversity of terroirs and grape varieties. Founded on a vision that bridges tradition and modernity, the domaine produces an extensive range of wines — from expressive Savagnin and Chardonnay whites to elegant Pinot Noir, Trousseau, and Poulsard reds, as well as the region’s celebrated Vin Jaune and Vin de Paille.
Today, the domaine is managed by three families with deep roots in wine and entrepreneurship: the Devillard family (esteemed Burgundy winemakers behind Château de Chamirey, Domaine des Perdrix, Domaine de la Ferté, and Domaine de la Garenne), the Flambert family, and the Dupuis family. Together, they have elevated Rolet to a new level of excellence and international recognition.
The estate’s philosophy rests on meticulous vineyard care, low yields, and harvesting at optimal ripeness to capture the unique identity of Jura’s soils. The result is a portfolio of wines that balance precision and authenticity, offering both immediate pleasure and long-term aging potential.
