Tasting notes
Gorgeous, brilliant colour. The nose is fine and subtle, airy yet intense, reminiscent of floral notes (pollen, orange blossom, Philadelphus) and citrus fruits (yuzu, bergamot) with a hint of wheat and honey underpinned by a mineral note of sun-warmed stones. This wine is marvellously delicate. The palate is fresh and full-bodied, balanced and harmonious. A fine example of Burgundy’s Great White Wines, especially those from the Côte de Beaune.
The Bourgogne Côte d’Or appellation is a new appellation beginning with the 2017 vintage. It aims to offer the nobility of Burgundy’s regional appellations by using grapes that come exclusively from the finest terroirs in the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, a philosophy the House of Edouard Delaunay fully supports.
