Dark, shimmering purple. Bright and energetic on the perfumed nose, displaying primary red and blue fruit and floral aromas that take on olive, bacon fat and black pepper notes as the wine stretches out. In a juicy, fruit-driven style, offering appealingly sweet cherry, blueberry and spicecake flavors and suggestions of allspice, licorice and smoky minerals. Finishes very long and youthfully chewy, with gripping tannins and resonating spiciness.

A rising star of the Northern Rhône, Domaine G&J Bott is redefining the potential of Seyssuel, a historic vineyard area located just south of Côte-Rôtie. Founded by Graeme Bott and his partner Julie, the domaine has quickly gained recognition for its precise and terroir-driven wines.

The vineyards are planted on steep slopes with granite-rich soils, mirroring the geological profile of Côte-Rôtie. This terroir, combined with careful vineyard work, allows Syrah to express itself with freshness, structure, and aromatic complexity, rather than sheer power.

The style of Domaine G&J Bott is modern yet rooted in Rhône tradition. The wines are defined by vibrant red and dark fruits, black pepper, violet, and smoky mineral notes, supported by fine tannins and a lifted, energetic palate.
