The Sébastien Carreau Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux Le Terrier Malbec 2022 displays a deep red colour and delivers a generous profile of very ripe fruits, notably blackcurrant, wrapped in warm, spicy nuances. On the palate, it is dry, round, and expressive, with a spicy attack, supple tannins, and a long finish marked by roasted and spicy notes. True to the Bordeaux origin of the Malbec grape, this wine shows a more structured, leathery character and higher natural acidity than its Argentinian counterparts, offering a distinctly French and elegantly balanced expression of the variety.

With a family history dating back to 1832, Vignobles Carreau represents seven generations of dedication to Bordeaux winemaking. Rooted in the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, the Carreau family has built its reputation on producing wines that combine tradition, authenticity, and value.

Today, the family oversees several estates, including Château L’Escadre, cultivating vineyards across the Right Bank on hillsides overlooking the Gironde estuary.
