Bright garnet red with beautiful intensity, this wine opens with expressive aromas of red and black fruits, where cherry mingles elegantly with floral notes of peony. On the palate, it is juicy and intense, showcasing ripe, vibrant fruit supported by a lively, delicate texture. Already wonderfully accessible, it offers a long and persistent finish that highlights its finesse and balance.

More About The Winery
Founded in the 14th century and acquired by the Geoffray family in 1877, Château Thivin is the oldest estate on the slopes of the Côte de Brouilly, and today stands as one of the reference domaines of Beaujolais.
The estate’s vineyards are planted on steep, blue granite slopes that define the unique terroir of Côte de Brouilly, producing wines of intensity, freshness, and mineral elegance. The focus is on Gamay, crafted into reds that combine vibrant fruit, floral aromatics, and fine tannins, with an ageing potential far beyond the expectations of most Beaujolais wines.
Under the stewardship of Claude Geoffray and his son Claude-Edouard, Château Thivin embraces traditional methods, including hand harvesting, semi-carbonic maceration, and ageing in large oak foudres, ensuring wines that are both authentic and terroir-driven.
Internationally acclaimed, Château Thivin is praised by critics for producing serious, structured Beaujolais that rivals top Burgundy, making it a favorite among sommeliers and collectors.
