Tasting notes
The 2017 Clos La Gaffelière Saint-Émilion Grand Cru opens with elegant aromas of blackberry, plum, and violet, supported by subtle notes of licorice, cedar, and earth. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and silky, with ripe black fruit, smooth tannins, and a touch of minerality. The wine finishes with freshness and finesse, showing balance and refinement typical of a well-made second wine in a cooler vintage.
