The palate is supple and energetic with fine tannins, bright acidity, and a silky texture. Fresh red fruit and mineral nuances carry through to a long, precise, and savoury finish typical of Durieux’s vibrant, low-intervention style.

About the Winery

A singular and uncompromising figure in Burgundy, Yann Durieux has carved out a cult following through his micro-négociant project, Recrue des Sens. A former cellar master at Domaine Prieuré Roch, Durieux brings a deep understanding of terroir, combined with a radically personal vision of winemaking.

Working with carefully sourced organic grapes from across Burgundy and beyond, he follows a philosophy rooted in natural, low-intervention practices. Fermentations are spontaneous, sulphur use is minimal to none, and élevage often takes place in a mix of old barrels, amphora, or alternative vessels—always with the aim of preserving the wine’s intrinsic energy.

The wines are vibrant, expressive, and often deliberately unconventional. Expect profiles driven by fresh red fruits, floral aromatics, spice, and a lively, almost electric acidity. Texture plays a key role, with a focus on drinkability and immediacy, while still offering surprising depth.

Each cuvée is produced in extremely limited quantities, often with playful labels and names that reflect Durieux’s creative spirit. Yet behind this apparent freedom lies a serious pursuit: to craft wines that are alive, honest, and deeply connected to their origin.
