Tasting notes
Deep pinot noir, with ripe fruit, great aromatic complexity, with many nuances revealing themselves little by little.
Discover La Gouzotte L21 by Yann Durieux, an exceptional natural red wine from the Recrue des Sens domaine, founded in 2010 in Messanges, Burgundy. This visionary winemaker cultivates 3 hectares of biodynamic vineyards on the clay-limestone terroirs of the Hautes-Côtes, producing wines of remarkable purity and expression.
From the 2021 vintage, this wine is made from Pinot Noir from vines aged over 30 years. The limestone richness of the terroir lends a distinctive mineral elegance. Vinification follows a natural approach: semi-carbonic maceration, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, no added sulfites or filtration, and aging in vats to preserve the freshness of the fruit and the liveliness of the wine.
Its light ruby color is seductive in its brilliance and transparency. On the nose, it reveals subtle aromas of fresh cherry, raspberry and rose petals, accompanied by a fine chalky mineral touch. On the palate, the silky texture is balanced by lively acidity and a juicy finish, marked by nuances of red fruit and a slight bitterness. Perfect with poultry or as an aperitif, La Gouzotte L21 embodies the natural elegance and precision of Yann Durieux wines.
More About The Winery
Founded in 2010 by Yann Durieux, a former grower at Prieuré Roch, Domaine Recrue des Sens has become one of the most exciting names in Burgundy’s new wave of natural winemakers. Working biodynamically on vineyards around Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and Côte de Nuits, Durieux produces Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Aligoté with a philosophy of zero compromise, minimal intervention, and maximum terroir expression.
The wines are vivid, energetic, and highly sought-after, often released in tiny allocations that sell out quickly. From pure and mineral whites to soulful, whole-cluster Pinot Noirs, Recrue des Sens embodies Burgundy without filter – raw, authentic, and alive.
