Tasting notes
Superb deep vermillion red color. The first nose is elegant, fruity (orange peel) and delicately floral (carnation, pink). Warm scents of leather and incense then emerge. Balsamic notes gradually give way to delectable aromas of brioche and still-warm freshly baked bread. Nuances of truffle recall the clayey nature of this wine's terroir. A full-bodied, generous start to the palate offers pleasant flavors of sugared almonds and slightly bitter hot chocolate. The tannins are mature, assertive and remarkably round. Excellent length on the palate is punctuated by refreshing bitterness. Exceptional balance. This is a superbly pleasurable wine that will reveal its full potential as it ages.

More About The Winery
The story of Maison Edouard Delaunay is one of passion, resilience, and revival. Once a prestigious Burgundy négociant house, the family sold the estate 25 years ago — but in a remarkable twist of fate, Laurent Delaunay, great-grandson of the founder, bought it back and restored its legacy.
Since acquiring the winery, brand, and historic cellars — alongside his Château de Charmont in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits — Laurent has worked tirelessly to return Edouard Delaunay to the forefront of Burgundy. Today, the house once again produces wines from some of the region’s most renowned appellations, celebrated for their purity, precision, and terroir expression.
The philosophy of Laurent Delaunay is rooted in listening to the vineyard: respecting the terroir, carefully observing the vines, and accompanying the wine’s natural evolution with gentle precision. The result is a portfolio of Burgundian wines that are refined, elegant, and authentic, from village-level bottlings to prestigious Premier and Grand Crus.
For wine lovers in Singapore, Maison Edouard Delaunay represents the rebirth of a Burgundy legend — a house where heritage and modern craftsmanship meet in every glass.
