Tasting notes
Gorgeous cherry red in colour. The expressive, fresh nose offers aromas of baked goods, such as a decadent raspberry and redcurrant tart, almond cookie, and stewed cherries. Wilder scents, typical of Nuits-Saint-Georges wines (basket willow, brambles, boxwood, juniper) then emerge. Subtle nuances of chalk and limestone. Fresh, mineral start to the palate, supported by saline tautness that gives structure and lastingness to the wine. Flavours of redcurrant and sour cherry. The tannins are extremely fine grained, bold and remarkably well integrated. Nuances of blackcurrant, gingerbread, then cumin then surface. This wine is all finesse and so representative of its appellation that it truly pays homage to the terroirs of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The finish hints at delicate, iodine-like aromas. This chiseled, precise, pure wine is ideal for laying down and will reveal its full potential as it ages.

More About The Winery
The story of Maison Edouard Delaunay is one of passion, resilience, and revival. Once a prestigious Burgundy négociant house, the family sold the estate 25 years ago — but in a remarkable twist of fate, Laurent Delaunay, great-grandson of the founder, bought it back and restored its legacy.
Since acquiring the winery, brand, and historic cellars — alongside his Château de Charmont in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits — Laurent has worked tirelessly to return Edouard Delaunay to the forefront of Burgundy. Today, the house once again produces wines from some of the region’s most renowned appellations, celebrated for their purity, precision, and terroir expression.
The philosophy of Laurent Delaunay is rooted in listening to the vineyard: respecting the terroir, carefully observing the vines, and accompanying the wine’s natural evolution with gentle precision. The result is a portfolio of Burgundian wines that are refined, elegant, and authentic, from village-level bottlings to prestigious Premier and Grand Crus.
For wine lovers in Singapore, Maison Edouard Delaunay represents the rebirth of a Burgundy legend — a house where heritage and modern craftsmanship meet in every glass.
