100% Pinot Noir
Tasting notes
Light gold with slightly coppery highlights and a fine, regular bead. Elegant, precise and airy, this is a subtle and refined expression of Champagne Pinot Noir, with gorgeous length, a seamless texture and scrupulous balance. Bottled with no added dosage, it is pure and vibrant. Delicious as an aperitif or with roast white meats, scallops or aged Comté.
About the Winery
Champagne Agrapart is a family estate in Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, founded in the 19th century by Arthur Agrapart and famed for its terroir-driven Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs. The family farms around 12 hectares with great respect for the soil, likening their vineyard work to tending a garden.
Pinot Avenay is the domaine's first Blanc de Noirs, a project of the new generation led by Ambroise Agrapart. It comes from the Champ Saint-Bernard parcel in the Premier Cru village of Avenay-Val-d'Or, planted by Pascal Agrapart in 1982. The wine is fermented with natural yeasts and aged for 12 months in 600-litre demi-muids, and only about 3,000 bottles are made.
