The La Rinconada Vineyard Pinot Noir offers impressive density despite its silken finish and sub-13% alcohol. This is a wine of genuine concentration. Tightly wound at first, a core of fresh red fruits sets the stage for savoury and mineral nuances that build depth and complexity beyond what its youth might suggest. Aromas of anise, smoke, dried sumac, and sea air reveal layers of wet stone and dried herbs.
On the palate, it is supple and red-fruited, yet underpinned by notes of crushed basalt and Mediterranean scrub, giving both structure and intrigue. This is a wine that begs to be revisited with time in bottle.
